The report on the "Smart Cities" study day is now available!

On 1 March 2024, the Belgian DPA's Authorisation and Opinion Service (formerly known as the Knowledge Centre) organised an event on “Data protection in smart cities – Focus mobility : How to collect data, anonymize it, extract insights while preserving privacy and make it available to relevant stakeholders?”

The aim of the seminar was to provide a platform for discussion where various stakeholders could share their experiences, best practices, challenges, solutions and visions for the future of "smart cities".

The event welcomed around ten renowned experts, and was quickly fully booked. That is why the Authorisation and Opinion Service is now making available to any expert or citizen interested in the subject:

The Belgian DPA would again like to thank the panellists and participants for the interesting exchanges on the question of the extent to which cities can be intelligent while preserving privacy.
